To start, I ran a full crawl and technical SEO audit of the website to make sure all the must-haves were in place — sitemaps, robots, markup etc — and checking for black hat tactics like bad backlinks. 

Over the next few months I worked with them to fix the content. Removing keyword stuffing and poorly written AI copy and blogs, as well as restoring page structures with proper headings, images and accessible-friendly content.

The site has been climbing back up the search results with new clear and human-focused copy. Plus with the new structure it's also become much more usable and readable, we're even seeing it being picked up by LLMs.
